The Procedure
Injectable treatments can be uncomfortable for some patients, so Dr. Shaddix takes every step to ensure you’re relaxed and comfortable. This begins with a topical anesthetic at the treatment site, which is paired with the lidocaine inside the Volbella gel. This smooth gel is then carefully injected under the skin at precise locations to sculpt a result that is natural and flattering to your profile. This can require multiple, small injections to get the best result, and it may require multiple vials of product. Dr. Shaddix can give you the best idea of how much will be required during your consultation. Overall, an injectable treatment takes from fifteen to thirty minutes, depending on what results are intended.
Recovery After Volbella Treatment
Volbella and other injectable treatments don’t require any downtime afterward, meaning you can return to your regular activities immediately. There may be some bruising or swelling at the treatment site, but you can manage this with an ice pack if it becomes uncomfortable. Volbella can last up to one year, after which you can return for another treatment.
