What is Vollure?

Vollure is an injectable treatment belonging to the Juvéderm family of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. This specific formulation is effective at smoothing out facial lines and wrinkles around the mouth, sometimes called parentheses lines or nasolabial folds. It accomplishes this by placing hyaluronic acid underneath the skin to restore volume that can be lost with the aging process. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin as a moisture retainer, and it can be naturally absorbed by the body over time after injection.

I was so happy with my experience and outcome as well. Dr. Shaddix has a calming manner (which I really needed), is so professional and really listened to what I wanted and the result is amazing and natural looking - very proportionate to my body just as I had hoped. I highly recommend him”

Your Customized Vollure Consultation

The first step in a dermal filler treatment is a consultation with Dr. Shaddix, who can professionally recommend the right injectable option for you. You should be prepared to describe what you hope your results will look like so that Dr. Shaddix can determine whether you might benefit from other skin or surgical treatments. You should also ask any questions you may have about the injectable and what you can expect during and after treatment.

The Procedure

For your comfort, Dr. Shaddix begins the injection procedure with a topical anesthetic. Vollure also contains lidocaine to ease the injection process and any discomfort afterward. Dr. Shaddix then uses a very fine needle to carefully inject the gel under the skin at precise locations. This can require multiple, small injections in order to shape the results you’re looking for, but injectable treatment sessions generally take fifteen to thirty minutes. Dr. Shaddix can give you the best idea of how much product will be needed during your consultation.

Recovery After Vollure Treatment

As with most injections, you can expect some swelling and bruising at the treatment site, which usually subsides within the day. Vollure requires no downtime, so you can return to regular activities immediately. Vollure generally lasts for up to eighteen months, after which you can repeat this treatment as needed.
